Divine Timing

I think the Universe has been trying to send me a big lesson about Divine Timing.
Last night it took me over an hour to make a 20-minute drive. This included waiting five minutes (no exaggeration, I checked the clock) for a light. Oh, and just to make the point, for all but the last 30 seconds, I was waiting for nothing – no cross traffic. Of course, this made me 20 minutes late for the class I was supposed to help teach.
This morning I missed the express train by 30 seconds, literally, because the ticket machine wouldn’t read my credit card the first three times. After leaving my house at 7:05, I got to the office at 9.
But at 10 this morning, I decided I needed a soy latte. So I offered to get coffee for everybody else in the office (no takers), and took the elevator down from the 8th floor. Just as I got out of the elevator, I saw the fire marshal push the button to run the scheduled fire drill.
I walked over to the coffee shop, got my latte, and waited for the “all clear” signal.
It was just the kind of little lesson I needed to make the two “harder” ones hit home. I get it now. And yes, the two earlier lessons must have caused quite a bit of delight in the angelic world. I know my Angels were laughing.
Brats.
