The Power of Ladybugs

Last night, just before I crawled into bed, I discovered a little ladybug in my room. Normally I do my best to relocate my little friends, but she was much too quick and small for me. So I let her stay. Somewhere in the back of my mind I figured she must be a good sign (it turns out they're a symbol of good luck, among other things). I lit my candles, made my list of things I'm grateful for, the things I accomplished, and the abundance that manifested during the day.
Most of all, I was grateful for all the new friends, and all the people who offered to pray for my friend.
I picked up my Book of Rumi, and read his eulogy to Sanai.

Silk must not be compared with striped canvas.

I blew out the candle and began sending Reiki to my friend. I have no idea how long I was doing that before sleep came upon me and I asked my guides to continue sending her Reiki. About 3:21 I awoke, and again at 5:11. In both cases, I started sending Reiki again and asked the guides to continue if I fell back asleep.
This morning I had to go to the bank. There was a problem with one of my accounts because my paycheck was deposited a week late. I went in with a soft demeanor, and before I knew it the branch manager was helping me secure a business line of credit, a free business checking account, and a free business credit card.
I went to the grocery store, then called the video game store for my son. He has been wanting a Wii system since Christmas, and finally saved enough. Sure enough, they had just opened the shipment and there was a Wii. I drove there and picked it up for him.
I came home and there was a message from the band Here II Here on my post about their song Holy. Seems that they enjoyed my post and me sharing their music. I was impressed that they would appreciate my post.
I got my work done, got to spend time with my son, and reconnected with another friend.
I'm truly blessed.

Help

I'm an RN but I still believe in “alternative healing” In the case of the ladybug, I think they are magical :) Folklore say if one lands on you and you are ill, when it flies away it will take the illness with you. One appeared in my house this winter when I had a bad cough..I thought…now how could this be, it's 30 degrees outside! It stayed in the corner of my window sill for a week and then disappeared.
Maybe the one in your house is being attentive to you, because when a friend is ill, it can be hard on the friend or healer too.
Much healing and love to both of you… J
-By the way Wii tennis is a blaaaaast!
Maybe the lady bug wants to watch :)
I'm pretty good about protecting myself when sending healing. It actually energizes me. But I did not know about their healing properties.
My son took the Wii back to his house, so no Wii tennis here. Maybe he'll invite me over for a game soon.
A beautiful blog, Mark. And a wonderful video too. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
