Me And My Aura

Saturday I went to a psychic fair. I did it mostly to see my Reiki teacher, but I admit I was curious. Who would be there? What would they be doing? What was I doing?
Genevieve, my Reiki teacher, came over and gave me a big hug. There were two other women I knew from her classes, and we paused to chat for a minute. Genevieve recommended this guy who was doing aura imaging based on your hands. To be honest, I've always avoided such things. They just seem like a way to take advantage of people desperately seeking spirituality.
But I sat down with Bill and gave him $20. He had me put my left hand on the meter, then place my right hand over my left and press down. The image that came up was quite interesting.
He said that I was having trouble getting grounded, but that I was working on it. True. I have been having trouble getting grounded since I finished the second draft of my novel.
Then he said that the red in my shoulders showed that I was angry at somebody. That I was feeling put out by them. True. I have been wishing I could trade places with the people upstairs to show them just how loud and inconsiderate they are.
He said the teal and green that surrounded me showed that I was (in his words), "A master healer." In fact, he said, "You need to tell yourself that every day. You need to tell others that. And you need to keep saying that until you believe it in every part of you."
He said that the purple coming out of my crown chakra indicated that I had a really strong connection to psychic energy. He said I should be doing Angel readings like Genevieve (he didn't know that she was my Reiki teacher). He said the white was divine connection -- that I had the ability to mainline Christ energy. To be honest, I wondered if this was the same for everybody -- but I found out afterward that of the four of us, only I had those colors coming out of my crown chakra (Genevieve had this beautiful pink beam).
Then he said something that blew me away. He said I needed to turn off the big neon sign above my head that invited lost souls, needy people, and people with big problems. "You're not the Statue of Liberty," he said. "You need to replace that with a sign that says; 'Cool, grounded person seeks similar.'"
Naturally, I asked the next logical question. "How do I turn that sign off?" He paused for a minute, thought about it, and tried to explain it. But he was being too cautious about others hearing us. He said it would be best if we worked on it in private. I liked that he didn't immediately try to upsell me, like some of the folks I've met. So I think I'll give him a shot next Sunday morning.

Help

I think I have had the same sign at times…?
They say some of these things we sign up for…before incarnation…to heal others.
Well I'm done, I hope…with the unprofessional healing.
Very cool photo, Mark…sounds like it was a growing experience. Enjoy the meeting.

I think it's natural for healers to want to say, “come one, come all.” But the reality is, many people don't want to be healed, they just want to put the responsibility on somebody else. That's the part I'm done with. I'm happy to help those who want to help themselves.
That's actually my aura, according to his machine. I find it kind of cool myself. I'm thinking of dyeing my hair to match… what do you think?
haha would look like one of those clown wigs ….
I am tempted to dare ya, but the gray is cool man…
:)
I thought I'd look like Rollen Stewart (the guy who held up “John 3:16” signs at sporting events in the seventies and eighties). It's my nose that makes me look like a clown, isn't it?
Well your nose is an untraditional ….. green… ? :D
