What Is A Weekend?

What does a weekend mean to you?

I'm always curious how different people view weekends. Some see it as time to work around the house, others see it as time to do absolutely nothing. For me, it depends on the week before and the week coming soon after.

When I'm busy, a weekend is a chance to catch up on my work without the interference of clients, for I work for myself.

When I'm working on my own projects, it's a chance to dedicate more than a couple hours to them, because that's what I love.

And sometimes a weekend is exactly what it is for most people -- a chance to unwind and recharge the batteries.

This weekend is a bit of the last two.

I wrapped up a rather busy 10 days yesterday afternoon. Which frees me to clear my mind, go for a walk in nature, maybe even get up early tomorrow and hike with my camera (that was stream of consciousness inspiration, in case you were wondering).

Still, I have a few things to do today. I'm working on a photobook about my time in Africa, and I really want to get several pages done there. Then I plan to go to the post office and walk from there to the bank to deposit a rather lovely check (fingers crossed). After that lovely experience, I'm off to my appointment with Bill Gochenour to work on turning off the unconscious sign above my head and replacing it with one I consciously choose.

At which point it will be early afternoon. And that's when the plans stop. I'm not planning anything after that because I don't know what to expect from my session with Bill.

What about you? What will you be doing for the next 36-48 hours?
