A Question About Soulmates

Saturday morning, I was resisting the urge to begin the day. Instead, I turned on some music and drifted in and out of sleep. In one of the dreams, I was in line for something when she jumped on my back.
"There you are!" she said as she kissed my cheek. "I've been looking for you everywhere!"
She wrapped her arms around my neck and squeezed with her elbows. I smiled in response. She leaned forward and looked me in the eyes. Her blue-green eyes sparkled in that way a woman's eyes do when she's in love. She twisted her head to swing her dark brown (almost black) hair out of her bright and freckled face. She smiled, leaned forward, and kissed me on the lips.
Of course, then I woke up.
The thing is, I've seen her before. But only in my dreams. I've known what she looks like for a long time. And, when I think back, just about every woman I've dated looks like her in some way -- even if it's just her eyes.
Personally, I think this is somebody I've made a soul commitment with, and we're just looking for each other. And that, to me, is what I believe is what a soulmate is.
Then again, I've also heard the term "twin souls" -- and I'm not sure what that is.
What do you think? Is this how your soulmate or twin soul tells you she/he is coming soon? I'd love to hear from people who've had some experience in this regard.

With my huge brown eyes, LOL, I believe this can be how, yes.
I believe we have many soulmates and my Mother was one of mine. The men I have been connected with even in marriage were soulmates I awakened with in our experiences together. However! I have felt this deep soul Essence connection in energy with another Soul Essence who IS a man in this physical place on Earth. We do feel each other and communicate in very deep connection.
Sharing in kindness, I will say “YES” to this man who meets me with his energy.
It is up to him to say 'YES” too. If he decides to sabotage or distract himself for whatever reasons, so romantic dances can go this way, that is okay too because my deep desire to share with a man who meets me in this loving energy on this physical plane will draw another man who embodies this beautiful Soul Essence who will say “YES” with ALL his Heart.
That is my story and I am stickin to it.
I wish you well in your opening to your green eyed lady. You bring her to you with your “Will” and “Heart”. Just my little way of looking at it. You asked. :-)

Mark–You might find this blog I wrote back in July interesting/useful. It's about soulmates…and lots of people (some of whom are currently with soulmates and some who have yet to meet them) left comments, many of which are excellent.
It's an interesting topic, and one that certainly conjures up a lot of emotion at times (as Lisa's blog points out).
I guess I should clarify that I was talking about soulmate connections in the sense of life partners. I believe that we surround ourselves with our soul family – people we've known before in other ways. Our parents, our children, our exes, our teachers – we all decided to come and help each other one more time. However, to LeAnn's point, I get the feeling that when we meet that one person we committed to walk with, there is no choice but to be with them – and so sabotage only shows up in relationships that are about learning.
I believe in ONEness, so I believe we're all just one divine energy – I've seen it in meditation. But I also believe that we came here to experience and grow through our separation. Now I'm at the point where I love experiencing the oneness again, through my separation veil.
And through that veil, I see that maybe not everybody makes a special commitment with another soul to live and grow together. Maybe she and I just decided that this time we wanted to try it as lovers, with me as the man and her as the woman.
All I know is that she's the one I've been looking for for as long as I can remember. Now the dreams are a little more frequent. And this time I think I'm actually ready. And trusting that she'll show up.

I have been having an array of these sort of dream mostly about one person in particular they seem very strange to me because in normal life i don't want an intimate relationship like the one in the dream (commitment issues). Most of my friends say its the Frustrations of being a single young person but i don't think so. Some of my other friends say its a subconscious need for some one to be there with me . It was a very vivid dream with events that could actually happen. it seems like it was already set in my future.. strange thing is we have both been accepted to they same out of state college and hes a year ahead of me . He left this morning .
